아마 미국이나 한국의 교계에서 새들백교회의 릭 워렌(Rick Warren)을 모르는 신자들은 얼마되지 않을 것이다. 그가 집필했다는 “목적이 이끄는 삶”은 베스트 셀러가 되었으며, 천문학적인 수입을 올렸다. 여기에는 미련한 기독교 신자들이 한 몫을 했다.

 

현재 미국에서 최고의 인기를 끌고 있는 대부분의 초대형 교회들은 프리메이슨이거나 그 동조 세력으로 밝혀져 있다. 미국에서 가장 규모가 큰 교회는 미국의 텍사스 휴스턴에 자리를 잡고 있는 조엘 오스틴이 담임으로 있는 레이크우드 교회로 신자들의 수가 대략 4만 6천명 정도 되는 것으로 집계가 되고 있다.

   그리고 미국에서 네 번째로 큰 교회는 캘리포니아(California)주 레이크 포리스트 시에 자리를 잡은 새들백교회로 신자들의 수는 대략 2만 2천명 정도로 집계되어 있는데, 이 교회의 목사가 바로 릭 워렌(Rick Warren)이다. 릭 워렌(Rick Warren)은 프리메이슨 조직에 하나인 미국의 미남침례교단 소속의 목사로 사우스웨스턴침례신학대학원을 졸업한 후에 새들백교회를 개척했다.

그는 사탄을 숭배하는 프리메이슨 33도인 빌리 그레함이 세운 풀러신학교대학원 박사를 취득하기도 했다.

 

   한국교계의 신학자들과 목사들 또는 신자들은 릭 워렌(Rick Warren)을 초청하여 집회하면서 열광하고 있는데, 사실 그는 사탄을 숭배하는 일루미나티의 프리메이슨이며, 뉴에이지 운동까지 하는 자로 미국 사회에 널리 알려져 있다.

 그가 일루미나티 조직에 하나인 대외관계협의회(CFR, Council on Foreign Relations)의 정회원이라는 사실 역시 미국 사회에 널리 알려져 있다. 대외관계협의회(CFR) 프리메이슨 중에서도 막강한 영향력을 행사하는 강력한 조직으로 미국 중앙정부는 물론 CIA를 조정하면서 세계단일정부를 수립하기 위해 활동하는 조직으로 1921년 조직되었다. 바로 이 조직의 정회원이 릭 워렌(Rick Warren)이다.

이와 같은 사실은 미국의 인터넷 신문으로 전 세계에 널리 알려져 있는 월드 넷 데일리(WORLD NET DAILY)의 시사 평론지의 편집장으로 활동하는 조셉 파라(Joseph Farah)는 다음과 같이 기사를 쓰고 있다.

Last week, in the latest of a series of columns I have written about mega-church leader Rick Warren, I wondered out loud about mixed signals coming from Saddleback Church.

 

I was puzzled, because back in November, Warren had told me he was a proud member of the Council on Foreign Relations and had learned much about the Middle East at the organization's briefings.

"SCHULLER: Tell me, what do you think is the future of Christianity?

슐러 : 기독교의 미래에 대하여 어떻게 생각하시는지요 ?

GRAHAM: Well, Christianity and being a true believer -- you know, I think there's the Body of Christ. This comes from all the Christian groups around the world, outside the Christian groups. I think everybody that loves Christ, or knows Christ, whether they're conscious of it or not, they're members of the Body of Christ ... I think James answered that, the Apostle James in the first council in Jerusalem, when he said that God's purpose for this age is to call out a people for His name. And that's what God is doing today, He's calling people out of the world for His name, whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ, because they've been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus, but they know in their hearts that they need something that they don't have, and they turn to the only light that they have, and I think they are saved, and that they're going to be with us in heaven."

Billy Graham Invites Alpha

Billy Graham has invited Alpha leader Nicky Gumbel to speak at a major conference he is organising in Amsterdam, Netherlands, this July. Mr Gumbel has been asked to speak at a workshop on the Alpha course at the conference, to be attended by 10,000 evangelists from around the world. Mr Graham wrote, “Your experience and expertise as a leader will be a great asset to the conference, and participants will gain invaluable knowledge and insight from the content of the workshop.” The Amsterdam conference is seen as an opportunity for evangelists across the world to come together.  Meanwhile, a group of well-known evangelists and church including Luis Palau and Paul Cedar, head of Mission America ? have written letters to encourage churches to run Alpha courses and attend training conferences. Their letters have been sent to thousands of Christian leaders all over the country with details of the 25 conferences being held in the year 2000. Evangelist Luis Palau wrote, “I thank God for the way Alpha is turning the focus of churches on evangelistic outreach. Churches that are running Alpha courses have new enthusiasm for evangelism and are leading people to Jesus Christ... The Alpha course is a first rate tool in our day to live out the Christian mission.” Paul Cedar wrote, “I rejoice and give our Lord thanks for the wonderful way He is using the Alpha ministry throughout the United States and around the world. “Inviting friends, family or work colleagues to an Alpha course is an outstanding way to share the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ in a non-threatening environment.” George Gallup, Jnr., of the Gallup polling organisation, wrote, “Out of England has come an exciting course that is moving churches around the world from maintenance to mission.

Meanwhile, Pat Robertson, the influential religious broadcaster and former presidential candidate, wrote of his support for Alpha. He said, “Alpha provides a unique teaching tool which brings to the new Christian outstanding integration of Biblical truths with practical applications for everyday life.”
