It's a doomsday do over of sorts for Evangelical Christian broadcaster Harold Camping. Earlier this year, he convinced followers all over the world that the world itself would be coming to an end on May 21, 2011.
오늘은 미국의 복음주의 종파 소속 방송인 해롤드 캠핑(사진) 씨가 올해 초 수정해 발표했던 ‘종말일’이다. 그는 전 세계의 신봉자들에게 지난 5월 21일 세상의 마지막 날이 찾아올 것이라고 주장한 바 있다.

몇몇 신봉자들은 다가올 ‘세상 종말일’에 천국에 갈 희망으로 전 재산을 써버리기도 했다.
When the date passed and life went on for the planet, Camping said May 21 was just the beginning of the end and and pronounced a new date for the apocalypse, October 21 2011.
그날이 지나가고 지구에서의 삶이 계속되자 캠핑 씨는 ‘5월 21일은 종말의 시작일 뿐이다. 확실한 종말일은 10월 21일이다’라고 주장했다.
The 90-year-old Camping suffered a stroke in June of this year following a broadcast of his daily radio show.
올해 90세의 캠핑 씨는 올해 6월 뇌졸중(중풍)으로 쓰러져 자신이 진행하는 라디오 쇼 방송을 중단했다.
